Gama Aviation adds Airbus H145 maintenance approvals to its Staverton location

Just over 12 months after its acquisition of Staverton, the company is adding Airbus H145 maintenance to its Gloucester Airport location, offering an enhanced capability for VIP, utility, and air ambulance operators.

Gama Aviation is pleased to announce the addition of the Airbus H145 maintenance approval to its Gloucester Airport, UK, location (also known as Staverton). The new approval will augment the Group’s existing rotary maintenance facilities in Norwich and Glasgow and its mobile Maintenance Service Team (MST).

The further maintenance approval completes a full complement of engineering services available on site for the Airbus H145, Leonardo AW169 and AW139. With Design, Production (Part 21 J &G), Maintenance  (Part 145) and component paint shop (a larger paint shop is in planning for Q4, 25), Staverton is situated to become the primary maintenance hub to support the Group’s ambitions in the UK rotary market.

The Group intends to add Airbus EC/ H135 maintenance support by Q1, 2026.

Paul Kinch, Managing Director, MRO, comments: “We are delighted to be able to extend our Airbus H145 approvals to this location. The addition of the type adds a new level of support to our existing air ambulance clients and opens a new maintenance location for aircraft based in the southwest, Wales and Midlands corridor. Glasgow will operate as the primary location for aircraft based in Scotland and the north of England. We will of course, load balance between the two to manage capacity.

One of the major advantages for H145, AW139 and AW169 clients using this facility is the single hub for all engineering and maintenance requirements from major re-configurations, the addition of mission equipment to annual checks”.
