Dassault Aviation Reports Strong 2025 Results: Revenue Climbs 19% as Backlog Hits Record €46.6 Billion
Saint-Cloud, France — Dassault Aviation has released its full 2025 Annual Financial Report, revealing a year of significant growth driven by international Rafale success and a resilient performance in the business aviation sector. Despite geopolitical headwinds and supply chain pressures, the company achieved a record-breaking backlog and a double-digit increase in net sales.
2025 Financial Highlights (Adjusted Data)
- Net Sales: reached €7.42 billion, a 19% increase compared to 2024.
- Adjusted Net Income: totaled €1.06 billion, yielding a net margin of 14.3%. (Excluding a one-time French tax surcharge, net income would have reached €1.16 billion).
- Record Backlog: The total order book swelled to €46.6 billion as of December 31, 2025, providing the company with years of industrial visibility.
- Free Cash Flow: A robust €1.6 billion was generated, bringing consolidated available cash to €9.4 billion.
- Proposed Dividend: The Board has proposed a dividend of €4.78 per share, representing a 35% payout ratio.
Operational Performance: Defense vs. Falcon
The Rafale Program (Defense): The year was defined by the delivery of the 300th Rafale aircraft. The defense segment remains the powerhouse of the group, making up 82% of the total backlog.
- Deliveries: 26 Rafale aircraft (11 to France, 15 for export), exceeding the company’s initial guidance of 25.
- Key Orders: A major contract for 26 Rafale Marine aircraft for the Indian Navy was a highlight, alongside ongoing negotiations with India for a further 114 aircraft.
The Falcon Family (Business Aviation): In a competitive market impacted by shifting US tariffs and global economic uncertainty, the Falcon division maintained steady momentum.
- Deliveries: 37 Falcon jets were delivered in 2025.
- Development: The Falcon 10X remains a primary focus, with the first test aircraft now in the final stages of manufacturing.
- Special Missions: 2025 saw the maiden flights of the Archange (Intelligence) and Albatros (Maritime Surveillance) variants of the Falcon 8X and 2000.
Strategic Outlook for 2026
Chairman and CEO Éric Trappier noted that while the company is navigating high “tax pressure” and supply chain disruptions, its “Make in India” initiative and the ramp-up of Rafale production are top priorities. The company entered 2026 with 15,024 employees, having hired over 1,500 new staff members in 2025 to support its industrial expansion.
