Gama Aviation adds Cessna Citation 560XL/XLS base maintenance to its UK approvals

Gama Aviation is pleased to announce the addition of the Cessna Citation 560XL/XLS approval to its Bournemouth base maintenance facility. The new approval augments the Group’s existing line maintenance activity at Luton and via its UK-based mobile Maintenance Service Team (MST).

The addition sees the first time the Group has stepped up from Textron’s Beechcraft King Air product into a full-service capability for the Cessna Citation XL/XLS; a natural extension of the existing relationship with Textron (the Group is an Authorised Service Facility and Special Mission Authorised Sales Representative), a major fractional fleet owner and its long relationship with Pratt & Whitney.

Paul Kinch, Managing Director, MRO, comments: “The addition of the Cessna Citation 560XL/XLS base maintenance approval is a natural evolution of our service capability. We have long supported operators of Textron aircraft, including both Cessna and Beechcraft types, and this approval allows us to provide even greater value to our clients by offering end-to-end maintenance solutions for one of the most popular jets in operation today.
We are delighted to expand our capabilities with the Cessna Citation 560XL/XLS base maintenance approval. The 560XL/XLS is a core aircraft within the European charter, fractional, and corporate markets, and this approval allows us to fully support operators with both scheduled base maintenance and responsive line services.
This development strengthens our long-standing relationship with Textron and underscores our commitment to offering flexible, high-quality maintenance solutions for business jet operators.
Our growing portfolio, which includes Bombardier, Embraer, and Textron jets, reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, flexible maintenance services that meet the needs of fleet owners, charter operators, and fractional programmes. Whether it’s AOG recovery, routine line maintenance, or complex base inspections, clients can rely on Gama Aviation to keep their aircraft flying safely and efficiently.”

Gama Aviation’s MRO division has built a reputation for delivering tailored maintenance solutions supported by a mature supply chain, experienced engineers, and a deep understanding of operational requirements. The Bournemouth facility, strategically located to serve the UK, Channel Islands, and near-Europe markets, is now positioned as a key hub for mid-size jet maintenance.

In addition to its capabilities on the Citation 560XL/XLS, Gama Aviation supports a broad spectrum of aircraft, from light jets to larger platforms, including special mission configurations. As regulatory landscapes shift and operational costs become a greater focus, the Group’s ability to offer integrated services – spanning AOG response, line and base maintenance, and spares provisioning—within a tariff-friendly environment presents a compelling proposition for operators seeking cost-effective, reliable maintenance partners.
